LIT
PROJECT : Lit Japanese whisky bar
LOCATION : Fort Bonifacio, Taguig
PROGRAM : Interior fit-out
STATUS : Completed 2015

The inspiration for LIT began from the appreciation of Japanese whisky as a unique and exceptional product. The choice of wood, steel, and leather, is a representation of its nuanced flavors. The process of charring the wood planks or "Shou Sugi Ban" is inspired from the charred oak casks where whisky is aged.
The materials are applied cohesively to avoid adding visual clutter to an already compact space. The perforated screens create an unassuming facade that piques the users curiosity and reveals the medley of materials and textures upon entry.
